And even not that hag(gish??) ..maybe I'll be my street's nicest old lady. But by the rate of deterioration of resources and rate of inflation I don't think I will have safe & clean water to drink at 72. Also by then Global Warming would have done its work and the temperature in winter will be just like summer temperatures of now. And with all this genetic engineering and aliens visiting; new diseases will spread as shown in "I am Legend". So no wonder I'm going to die of either Disease or Heat or Water on 31 December 2053!!! Shucks!! There goes a New Year Party down the drain.
P.S. I tried the reincarnation link too. Seems I'm going to be a Pigeon in my next birth.

People love to be dramatic and to run around and say that end is near. The only thing all these people have had in common is that they have all been wrong.
Climate change, be it natural or man made has happened before, most notibly 10,000 years ago when the earth experienced a mini ice age. If our caveman ancestors could survive that why couldnt we survive another round? I dont even believe in man made global warming.
You might say Im naive, but when they cant predict the weather for 2morrow how can I expect them to understand a 6 billion year trend.
Also I think people like to be in control of things. And altho is seems obvious that we CANT control the weather people insist they can! They want to feel powerful, like they can somehow stop the hurricanes, the tornados, the droughts and the flooding by just not using so much gas, or reducing their carbon footprint. They dont want to admit that they are pretty much powerless in this world.
But i think its obvious they are. rich, poor, tall, short there are forces all of us are subjected to that we cant control in any way.
So yeah, dont by into the hype. Its just a bunch of catastrophysts and newmen trying to sell advertising space.
50-100 years ago it was divine intervention
10-50 years ago it was the aton bomb that was gonna destroy the world
5 years ago it was bird flu
Now its gloval warming.
