Man of Few Words

Therefore, since brevity is the soul of wit, And tediousness the limbs and outward flourishes, I will be brief.

While browsing a matrimonial website together for obvious reasons [recent past time of my Dad, me a poor victim. Sigh!] we came across this profile. And it just reminded me of what Shakespeare said. Ahem!!...95% compatibility....Errr...Excuse me Dad for rejecting a qualified guy who is full of so much wit but it looks like I'll be in constant struggle to meet some pre-defined high standards and will be compared at every step. Thats only one reason. No comments further....everyone is entitled to write as little or as much possible in "about me" sections of a matrimonial profile. :D :D

P.S. Guys are MASHA-ALLAH!

5'8" seems alittle short to me.

Canopenner said...

also whats MASHA-ALLAH?

or subhan alla?

I suppose google can tell me...

Why did you take down that shoutbox?

Canopenner said...

googling it leads me to believe they are both the equivilent of "thank God"

Like, "thank thank god for girls" on that singles website and your saying "thank God for boys"

is that correct?

@Shoaib :D yeah You must be happy but dont expect too much. Hey many other posts still awaiting ur comment.

@Swathi Yes some are so hilarious and scary! Thanks!

@Robert We are Indians...another race ...so different ht wt patterns.. 5'8" comes under tall category...Ummm google is right. both mean thank god in themselves but are not used here in that meaning.I have not taken down the chatbox.It depends on server speed. Sometimes it may not show.

Reema: Any guy who says 'my mom is best' in his 'matromonial' column is either too much of a mummy's boy to marry someone, or is seriously disturbed. Either case, a wide berth.

@Nova :)

@Shefaly yes exactly my point!!Hence rejected :)

Reema, dont tell me you missed Canopenner here :D Tell him the meaning :P
And this guy you found on matrimony is great. And proudly announces that he loves his mother. I like this man :D I love my mummy too :D

Cheers
Suda

@Suda I just couldnt find apt description to make Robert understand the expression. Why dont u give it a try?

Loving ur mom is a different thing but proclaiming to a prospective match that ur mom is best is like antagonizing the girl before she becomes ur wife.The truth is every guy thinks his mom is best but knows better than to declare to his gf/wife/prospective bride to be.
